Events are being sent from Sendgrid, and they contain the user’s email address but do not identify the user my that address and so the data stays separated. The join key I selected for the integration is email.

View originalHi Hunter, out of interest how are you identifying your users in Heap? Assuming you are using email here too?
If you’re joining based on email, the events should correspond to the rest of the actions taken by said user, one thing to bear in mind is if you’re using a “session” as the granularity in your funnel/analysis these events may not reflect as the Sendgrid events technically occur in a different “session”
Hi Rich,
Thank you for reaching out to me. This ended up being a mistake I was making; I was trying to join a user from Sendgrid who had not yet been identified in Heap. I had thought the email I was using was already an ID in Heap but I was using the incorrect email. Now that I have identified that user in Heap their data is synchronised.
Kindest regards,
Hunter
