We sell wine and a part of our message is that if you rate the wine you've bought we'll be better at recommending you wine that you like in the future. We're on a mission to track the accuracy of our recommendations. This is a work-in-progress but a cool thing we've been working on is leveraging Heap's ability to use Javascript functions to create page view properties. We are in the process of capturing the IDs of wines that have been recommended to a customer when they see the recommendation.

This data can then be used downstream via Heap Connect to see if a customer actually bought a wine that we recommended to them. Then later, after they've had a chance to drink it, we can see whether they actually rated that wine positively. Like I said, still a work in progress, but it will be really slick if it works. We've definitely underutilized the potential of using Javascript functions.

Awesome to hear! I love to see this big feedback loop from recommendations to purchase to review. As you gather data, it will be really powerful.
