Average per user not displaying any data

I created a custom event for when a user sends a message on our app and I want to see how many messages users send on average each day. However, whenever I try to create an “average per user” chart, it shows no data (everything is just “--”). I checked and the event is firing properly and all the other charts are working as expected. I also tried using native events in case it was an issue with custom events but had the same issue. Any ideas why this might be happening? Thanks.

Thanks for posting about this! Our Engineering team is currently investigating this behavior. We’ll let you know when a fix has been released. In the meantime, you can use a Ratio analysis to achieve a similar result by graphing the total events over the unique users who did the event:
