Does the browser send data even for blocked domains ?

Hello, I was wondering if blocking a domain in heap account management would prevent the user browser to send data to heap or if heap just won’t accept and save datas.

Thank you,

Gauthier

Hey Gauthier!

Great question! In this case, it’s the latter - the data will be captured by Heap, but after cross-referencing the domain with any in the blocklist, if a match occurs the data will be both dropped and purged before it is processed internally.

In other words, data will be captured but Heap will discard any data from a domain in the blocklist.

Hopefully this helps!
