Why not create a new environment instead of a new project for a different website of my organization?
When I try to create a new environment, I see a list of recommendations form Heap on when and when not to create a new environment (PFA). I am interested to know why the recommendation is against creating a new environment for a completely different website. One reason I could think of is that the dashboards are shared across different environments of a project and we might want different dashboards for different projects. But other than this, would there be any issues in creating different environments for different websites?

I feel like this should be an easy one but haven’t found anything in the docs. Possibly just looking in the wrong place. I would like to create a link to a user in the users and sessions section based on the users identity. Is there some type of parameters I can use to link directly to that. What I would like to use it for is in our admin dashboard make it so that customer support can click on a link that takes them directly to that users session so that they can see how they used the app.
Hi community,Our team is looking for a way to measure the % of sessions in which a sequence of events occurred (or even just several events in the same session without a sequential limitation) .We are well aware of the option to analyze this on a user basis, but it’s important for us to ask the question on a session basis. Is there any way to run such query? Thanks!
Hi there. I’m using heap analytics in my web app and i wanted to display a heap dashboard in an iframe element. But when i tried to deploy it, it shows an empty iframe with the error “heapanalytics.com is blocked”. I think it’s some sort of security permission that is not allowing the dashboard (or in this case the login page to access said dashboard) to be displayed. Any suggestions on how to handle this? Because it was kind of a needed feature that the metrics were indeed displayed on the site and not on a new tab on the browser
I’m trying to find out where folks exit my site. I don’t especially care if it’s because they close the browser or their session time “expires.” I just want to know the thing they stopped on when they quit engaging with the site. The Landing Page event will tell me the first page of a session. What is the equivalent for an exit page?
Hi everyone, I would like to track onsite messaging system, especially when a user sends a message. But he/she can send a message by clicking on a specific element (and that’s easy to track the event), but also by clicking on “Enter” key (desktop or mob). Is it possible to track event when someine click on “Enter” key ? ThanksThomas
Another month and another Workshop Wednesday session! Have you ever asked yourself “How do I answer this question in Heap?” Of course you have! Whether you just started using Heap or could benefit from a quick refresher, this workshop is for you. We covered the fundamentals of how Heap’s data engine works so you can leverage it like a pro. By the end of this session you’ll be using query modifiers like Filters and Group Bys to extract the greatest insights from your data, so you can deliver valuable insights to your organization.Watch the webinar here
Hello, I use visual labeling very frequently in conjunction with out Android app. As of two days ago I can no longer pair my Android device, and as a result can no longer use the visual labeler. I checked with our lead Android dev, and he is also no longer able to pair his Android device to the visual labeler. He is at a different location than me. Can you please help me figure out why this is no longer working? I rely on this feature heavily to ensure that my dashboards and graphs are accurately built. Thanks,Josh
Hi all,I've been looking into the Capture User State via Snapshots documentation, and I can check you use Tealium to capture this type of information. If I create a utag_data.customer_logged_insnapshot will I be able do collect the user login time? I need to know how often our users login. Can I do this with Heap or do I have to integrate our Web App with Tealium too? Best regards,Bernardo
I’d like to be able to leverage Journeys to understand average time taken between steps as illustrated in a Journey. I am able to map Journeys, and separately setup a bunch of average time-taken stats between specific events. Boy, it would be marvelous if I could visualize both on the same view! How can I go about thinking through this need? Thanks!
I’m trying to figure out the best way to map out a user funnel we have on our platform. For this context - we’re a B2B platform that allows customers to request to book an appointment with a Tattoo Artist. We have 15 questions as part of our intake form (what customers fill out to request an appointment). However, each artist can control which questions show up on their form. If they only want to ask 2 or 3 of them, we set that up in their profile, and the other questions don’t even show up to the customer. It’s essentially a 15 step journey or funnel with each step being optional (doesn’t look like it’s possible to have consecutive optional steps in a funnel or journey chart).Has anyone worked with something similar or have any ideas on the best way to map this out? Easiest solution I can think of is creating a separate chart for each of the 15 questions which would show time spent on that step, and total funnel conversion rate when that step is included in the form. But, that obviousl
Hello! So I am trying to see how users behave through journeys when viewing a single page. As you can see below I have added 2 branches. When I add a third branch the number of users for the first and second branch decrease. See below Is that normal? Since we are counting users doing a specific event why does the number change when we add another branch?
Hello,When trying to access the Users & Sessions tab, it seems that I keep encountering this issue and can’ t seem to be able to see the user sessions any longer. I’ve noticed this happening in the past day or so, in case this might help. Also, I tried looking for the same issue in the community forum, but it seems no one else encounters this problem. Thank you for your time and help,Cezar
We need an npm package and types defined in order for us to use heap in the app on the authentication page.I couldn’t find any articles on how to use heap.identify method in a React app that is built using TypeScript.Any pointers will be helpful. Thanks.
From some days back now we've been seeing the following error pop-up in the Users & Sessions screen. Thought it was some transitory error but it continuous to happen. Have tried looking into documentation or community support and there's nothing around it. Does anyone know how to solve this? Is there anything we could do from our side?
Hello! We’re a SaaS type platform and one of the product managers is looking to identify which customers successfully create a journey in our platform. For example, folks who Viewed a New Journey Page who then went on to Start Journey (e.g., imagine in Heap you wanted to track whether users make new journeys and save them, but you want to know how many get from Step 1 to Step 2 for the same journey - not just if they ever go on to save a journey). Is this possible in Heap?
Hello everyone, I want the help in creating bulk of events. My scenario is that I have 25 officers detail on one of my page, so i want to know how many user have clicked on the particular information of one officer, and track the number of clicks of it. So I have created 25 events, creating seperate event of every officer, but when I went to chart for creating the report, I got to know that only 12 events can be entered in a report. So what is the alternate of this problem or query?
I’m trying to log SwiftUI views identifiers through various ways `accessibilityIdentifier`, `id`, `tag`, `accessibilityLabel` yet none are being captured by the SDK. Is this a limitation on the SDK for SwiftUI or is there a workaround? The main goal is to be able to identify these views and define events based on them.
