Live feed doesn't show my events

Hi, 

I am new to heap and I am trying to find selectors and create event definition via live feed. I have tried following:

  • I can create an event definition through visual labeling but when I want to setup my live feed through “debug in live data feed”, I get error “No user id found. Try again later or contact support”.
  • If I go straight through “Live data feed”, and use heap.userId or my IP address as filters for events, I don’t get any events in live feed.

I am following this tutorial for finding selector through live feed. My heap role is `architect`. Did anyone else face this problem? What am I missing?

Hi @knaz

Hope you are doing well.

 

Ideally, you should be able to see the event that you initiated in the Live feed at the same time. However, if you are facing any issues I could suggest an alternate to that which is following the below steps:

  • Define any event through visual labeling or manually
  • Go to live data feed and turn on “show only my events”

  • Once you have turned this on, go to your product page in a different tab and initiate the same event. It should ideally come up in the Live data feed.
