We are a web-based hybrid app and don’t have a tone of users. Using the app does not require creating an account (but you can). We are using Heap Identify.People in the company frequently use the app to test different features, or check on its functionality. This frequently involves reinstalling the app and using it as a “fresh” user without creating an account.I’d like to be able to create a segment that combines all our company members’ devices so that the data points generated by them can be filtered out from the dashboards. Is there a way to do it? Current thinking: I know Heap creates a unique User ID, but afaiu, this only persists across sessions but not across devices and not in a case when the user reinstalls the app. Are there other ways to approach it, e.g. by registering test devices, or sth else?
Hi all, I tried having a look through the community feed, but didn’t see exactly this issue. I tried things that looked close and it didn’t solve my problem.First thing is to say that I am not that technical, so please explain anything to me like you would a child. There are times where I’m tagging something and it picks up the target text and labels the event properly like the below, no issues: However, I have two situations that I need to find a solution for. Ideally this would be me solving it within Heap without involving the devs, but if that’s what needs to be done, it would be useful to know that too…If I try to create a target text where it can’t find one, it doesn’t work and each time there’s a click on that link, it will act like it’s something I have not labeled before. For example this, where I’d then go on to add in a target text: To solve this, I tried using F12 and having a look at the HTML and there doesn’t look like there are any differences between the two, which may b
Hey All, I’ve got several charts up and running based on users and user sessions. I’d like to find a way to filter out internal users. That doesn’t seem to be a standard field I can filter on. I’m thinking either filtering based on email or account name? Any guidance is appreciated, thanks!
Hello! Is it possible to integrate ad spend from platforms like Meta or Google to Heap?
e-commerce website: I want to build a journey map to see how customers are interacting with the product page. On this page, one thing a customer can do is choose different colors and sizes for the apparelStarted with a basic journey.Step 1 - view a product pageStep 2 - Add to Cart Before defining the size/color toggle, when I click to see other branches, I see other paths such as other pages the customer went to, but nothing about the toggle. Even after I defined the toggle, I needed to explicitly add that event into the journey; and then it showed over half the customers did that before adding to cart. Why doesn’t Heap auto-detect this?
