Getting past a login screen for visual labeling

We load Heap post-login screen, once we’ve established whether a user’s subscription allows behavior tracking.

I believe this is why Visual Labeling doesn’t work -- we land on the login screen and no Heap is detected, because it’s genuinely not loaded yet.

Is there a way to use Visual Labeling in this case? In our case, we’d just need to enter valid credentials to get Heap to load on the authenticated page.

Hi,

In such cases, the best option is to log in to your platform in an adjacent tab, and then input the URL (pages after logging in) into the Visual Labeler. This should allow you to access the pages via the Visual Labeler.

Note: The above solution only works if your pages in new tabs are not redirected from the login page and if your platform retains the login.

Hope this helps! Please do share whether this solution worked for you or not.

Thanks, @ALabs I Bhupender.
We do in fact redirect to login, so it won’t work as our app currently stands. But thanks for the suggestion--we may be able to use that approach in the future.
