In our rage reports we have entries whose target text is “(No Data)”. When does this happen? I have a hunch this is an image being clicked.

You are absolutely correct!
One of the reasons for the ‘No Data’ that we see for the Rage clicks is the clicks happening on images.
The second reason could be that the users clicked on the areas where there are no buttons present on the website.
In both of these instances, there are no text elements present. Hence, the result is no data.
