Heap Analysis - only first value of custom event properties is tracked

How to determine which accounts have not done an action

Hello!Heap is really great at identifying which of our users/accounts have adopted new features, but we’re trying to figure out which accounts have not done an event to know which customers to target. Is there a simple way to see this?Thanks!

Changing color lines and line names

I’m making a dashboard for an A/B with a few reports comparing the two tests.1. Even though I used the same ordering in the definition of the report the colors seemed to default by some other way. This is an issue as each test should be the same color across the reports for clarity. How can this be achieved?2. The names for each line in the legend are really long and cumbersome. Is there a way to edit them? Say “Test A” and “Test B”..Thanks!

How do I add property/filter for a first time visitor to my funnel?

Hi there,I would love to I currently have a funnel that is set to capture the flow of a user from the first time they use our product to saving their work by signing up for an account. However, I’m not sure how to constrain the first step of the funnel to users who are new to the site. Ideally we could filter the first step of the funnel to users whose IP address first interacted with the site today (also open to other suggestions for identifying first-timers).Regardless, in creating my funnel, I did not see any properties/event filters that would help me do this. Any help is much appreciated!

Dashboard isn't displaying some charts

Hi all, Hoping for a little help with an issue that we’re facing. There are a handful of new charts that I created a few months back and they’ve been added to a dashboard. They were working fine previously but something seems to have broken now. On the dashboard, we’re getting the following for several charts: When I click through to see the query in “Analyze”, there is data and a graph is displaying. I can change the filters and date period and everything seems to be working correctly. However, when I return to the Dashboard it says that there is an error. I’ve tried removing it from the dashboard, creating another chart with the same query and it is still erroring on the dashboard. Strange thing is that I have other charts that are working fine. I’ve checked my definitions for these charts and they seem to be fine. I can see them when I look at user sessions. Have I missed a trick here? Really appreciate any help!

Does the browser send data even for blocked domains ?

Is there a way to combine sessions for a user?

Background Information:Our current customer journey starts by a customer filling out a form where they choose studio location, adding email and sometimes choosing a preselected product. Once they submit this form, they are redirected to start a survey. This survey is hosted in typeform, meaning the user is redirected out of our website, once they complete the survey, they are redirected back to the site where they will finish purchasing the product.This journey results in a user having two sessions. Are there ways to identify that both sessions are for the same user? is there a way to indicate that both sessions are actually the same purchase session?

Android: Crash with Fatal Exception: android.database.sqlite.SQLiteDatabaseCorruptException

Not sure if this is the perfect place to ask but lately, our Android app crashes for some users with the following exception:Fatal Exception: android.database.sqlite.SQLiteDatabaseCorruptExceptionfile is not a database (code 26 SQLITE_NOTADB[26]): , while compiling: PRAGMA journal_modeMinSdk 26TargetSdk 33HeapVersion 1.10.5Devices that reported the crashes have Android 10 (samsung and motorola)The stacktrace shows either: com.heapanalytics.android.internal.EventDB.readBatch (EventDB.java:95)orcom.heapanalytics.android.internal.EventDB.deleteBatch (EventDB.java:149)I am attaching the full stacktrace below.Any idea what might be the problem here?

Feature request: Dashboard default filters

It should be possible to specify the default filters applied to a dashboard without the use of query string parameters.For example, imagine I have 10 reports on a dashboard and each report, when they were originally created, shows the Past 7 days. If I have a dashboard that wants to use all 10 reports and have a default view of Past 30 days, i only have 2 choices:Update each of the 10 reports to be a default 30 day window. Tell everyone to make sure they apply the date filter on the dashboard every time they view it, OR bookmark the query with the query string params that set the filters. #1 is not only painful, but also doesn’t work well when the reports by themselves could still be useful to default to 7 days but in a given dashboard we want a different default. #2 is just bad in general because it means no one can interactively use heap to find a dashboard and get a good default view.

I have several of our URLs blocked but still seeing information from them

I have blocked our DEV and QA sites in the privacy and security so that we are not getting metrics on those sites but I am still seeing those pages linked and being reported on. Why?

User sessions chart

Hi,Is the Users sessions view/chart type being deprecated? I can’t find any documentation on it, as all documentation leads to the new Users & Sessions view which is not quite the same.I’m referring to this view:It used to be possible to save this view as a chart, then send it as an emailed report, but this doesn’t seem possible any longer. I do still see the prompt for “Save this chart to share it”, but I can’t seem to find the “Save” option (usually it shows in the same chart actions dropdown).When I access old charts of this type, I see this message:but whether I use a segment or not - the result is the same.Help?

Is it possible to create an event when a session ends ?

Hi,I was trying to create a graph to see the average time spent on a page.First I used the “Average time between events” graph with the pageview as first event and a pageview of any other page as second event.The probleme is that when a session ends between those two events, the value for the graph is calculated with the next user session pageview.My questions are : Is it possible to create an event for the end of a session ? Is there a way to filter results that exceed a certain amount of time ? Is it possible to create an event property that says if the event is the last in the page ?Thank you for your answers,Gauthier

Automated extraction of chart CSV files.

Hello,Is it possible to automate the extraction of several CSV files for charts we’ve created? We would like to surface this data in our intranet portal on a regular basis. We’ve looked at Heap Connect, but I’m hoping there is a lighter weight solution to just download several chart CSV files without having to manually go into the UI.Thanks!

Retention analysis grouped by date of start event shows duplicate weeks

I am creating a retention analysis chart, grouped by the week of the start event and then also grouped by week over the past 30 days. Why are there two first weeks (ie Dec 15 - 17, 2022)? Noting that both of these “weeks” have different user counts.

Average per user not displaying any data

I created a custom event for when a user sends a message on our app and I want to see how many messages users send on average each day. However, whenever I try to create an “average per user” chart, it shows no data (everything is just “--”). I checked and the event is firing properly and all the other charts are working as expected. I also tried using native events in case it was an issue with custom events but had the same issue. Any ideas why this might be happening? Thanks.
