I don’t know why Heap doesn’t support these two operations but We are constantly struggling with the inability to filter with “less than or equal to” and “greater than or equal to” operators. There are only “less than” and “greater than” currently. Addition of the two extra comparison operators would make it so much easier to create charts
Thanks if anyone can help me on the below scenario : Our QA is currently testing on different browser, and we are trying to find whether Internet Explorer still being used by our users. If the users are using Internet Explorer, what other browsers do they use ? Who/ which type users that are using the browser still.
We constantly struggle with search filtering in “group by” dropdowns on reports due to how Heap does filtering. The issue for us is that we have a property called “Program” and also have event definitions with “Program” in the name. For example, we have one event called Program > Sign Up > Complete > Any to represent a sign up completion in any of our 5 programs. However, if I search the dropdown to find the “program” property, it filters the EVENT NAME too and shows me all of it’s properties. This is useless in this case and actually makes me wonder how many people search this dropdown by event name vs the property name. For us, we never expect or want to search by event name when filtering an event’s properties With currently behavior, I have to scroll this full list to find the property and it’s so frustrating because the filtering essentially does not help.
My application’s help center is rendered using Zendesk so once a user clicks on a help article hyperlink, I am not able to capture what the user is doing in the help center. Does anyone know whether I can install the Heap snippet in Zendesk?
Hey folks, so I created a report on sources of traffic to our site. And got this as a first result: Initial Landing Page = “No data”, Initial Referrer = “DIRECT” had a big spike up. What does that mean? Are those bots, unfinished session loading, 404?
Is there a simple way to build a report on these lines ?show the most frequent events for a group of users compare two groups’ most frequent events (e.g. those who became leads according to Salesforce data vs those that didn’t Any advice gratefully received, thank youJulian
Currently there are 2 reports type for conversion:Conversion over time Conversion funnelTo me, both of these are essentially the same report, the main difference being what time expanse you are looking at the data. In the case of “conversion rate over time”, you are limited to looking at conversion rate between 2 events but it’s powerful because you can see a trend over time. Your date controls are what you see in other reports types: In the case of “conversion funnel”, you can have any amount of steps but are limited to looking at the entire date range as an aggregate report. Your date options are now different and you are implicitly only allowed to look at the entire range but changing the difference in time between the 2 events that qualify as a conversion:Commonly when I’m looking at a conversion funnel report, I want to know if it’s changing over time. So the only way I can do this is either to:Keep changing the date range to see if I can see a pattern (wildly inefficient and
Hi all,We're unable to connect our Development (ID: 1173190626) and Production (ID: 2383593008) we apps to our Salesforce account platform. We have the following user attributes to use as primary keys: - Heap: Platform Account ID - Salesforce: PUP Account ID Also have the emails, but we are not being able to add it. Already went through the entire Salesforce integration guide. However, when selecting the attributes below: I don't get any information when clicking on the SELECT JOIN KEY button. Can someone from your end support us?Best regards,Bernardo Madeira
I’d love to have greater flexibility with date comparisons by selecting the “Custom” option. Two different situations come to mind that I can’t do today in Heap UI (or at least can’t figure out how to do):Compare the entire month of July to June. I can select July, but it forces me to choose a comparison time period that’s also 31 days. We see a lot of activity on our sites the last day of the month, so if I’m including May 31st in with June (to make it 31 days), it’ll skew the results. Compare one promotion to another. Let’s say one promotion ran for 5 days and another ran for 3 days. Since they’re for varying lengths of time, it won’t allow me to select those time periods to compare.

Hi everyone! We have noticed that some user accounts are not being accurately tracked by Heap. I wanted to post what we are seeing here and see if anyone has seen something similar before. First, some details:We use heap to track user both on the website (both publicly-accessible and login-required parts) and on emails we send using SendGrid. Our Heap instance is installed using Google Tags. For us to email users using SendGrid, they first must register on the website. As a part of user registration, we pass certain custom details about the user to Heap. We noticed discrepancies of two types:For some users (about 10% of accounts), Heap seems to only track the email activity. We found no records for website usage for those users. For some users (about 3-4%), Heap tracks activity on the website, but Heap record doesn’t contain the information we pass to Heap (associated user email the custom details I mentioned above). Questions:For 10% of accounts issue: Would it be the case that Heap

Currently, it is not possible to create a segment based on an event that you want to also filter. This forces us to create a lot of extra events which can bloat our events if these new events are only used for a segment for say a short period of time. E.g. Imagine if I wanted to create a segment for users that have visited a page 5 or more times. This is what you see: notice there is no way to filter that event to restrict it to a path. So instead, I have to first create an event that filters that Pageview event based on path, then use that new event in the segment definition. It would be far simpler to just allow segments to apply event filters then let us determine whether we want to make that a a unique event or not.
I’m coming across weird behavior in Heap related to UTM parameters and trying to understand what’s going on. My understanding is this:“Initial UTM Source” is the UTM source of the user’s very first session (ever) with us. “UTM Source” is the latest UTM Source of their latest session with usThis is also reaffirmed by Heap’s own definitions in the product: So all good so far :) However, I did some testing in the Live Analytics View, and having confusing behavior. I go to our company’s homepage with `https://www.sketchy.com/?utm_source=instagram” and it reported it as I expected: However, I then decided to do a check with hitting it with `https://www.sketchy.com/?utm_source=linkedin” and getting unexpected results. Notice in this screenshot it shows the expected Querystring, but the UTM source is still stating “instagram”: So this is leading me to believe either there is a bug, or this property panel has incorrectly worded the property as “UTM Source” when it should be “Initial UTM Sour
Hi,In the visual labeling I can’t figure out how to see all the defined events that are being captured for a specific interaction. For example in the image you can see that in some cases I have 2/3 events that are defined for my action but only one is displayed.I tried hovering / clicking etc without success.
Is there a Heap Snippet on Salesforce Cloud/Community to track what Knowledge Articles are being Viewed?
I’m brand new to Heap. I’ve started with Heap University, and digging into Events, Snapshots, etc … I am focused on our Knowledge Articles on our Salesforce Self-Service portal. I want to be able to see the View Counts for all of the Knowledge Articles on the Self-Service Portal. Eventually, I want to understand the journeys that our customer are taking to get to the Knowledge Articles and where they go from there. I came across a similar thread that asks ...”Has anyone added the Heap snippet to a Zendesk Help Center to track what articles are being viewed?”--- With this in mind, is there a similar Heap Snippet for Salesforce Service Cloud/Community that would give me the View Count of each Knowledge Article on there?
Need to correct my Email Address. We just implemented Heap. My organization (Company A) was acquired by another organization (Company B). When I was originally setup with a Heap Profile, it was setup with Company A’s email domain. This past week, I was migrated over to Company B’s email domain. How can I update my Heap Profile with my new Email Address, which uses Company B’s email domain?
